GCyber is currently seeking a System Administrator to support a Department of Defense customer in Arlington, VA. As the system administrator, you will apply your knowledge and experience across a variety of IT disciplines including hardware (servers, switches, routers, etc.), software, networks (ports and services), databases, SAN storage, applications to provide Tier 1 – 4 System Administration support for Windows systems.

**This position requires an active DoD Top Secret clearance** 

What You Will Do:

• Overall day-to-day operations of the Windows environment
• Performing operations and maintenance for windows servers and workstations (e.g., Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2012 R2, Windows 2016, Windows 7, and Windows 10)
  • Data backup and recovery
  • Monitor, manage and maintain all Windows based servers
  • Set up administrator and service accounts
  • Maintain and create system documentation 
  • Tune system performance
  • Install system-wide software
  • Allocate mass storage space.
• Ensure all Windows based systems are running current versions of antivirus software with current virus definition files
• Provide system administration support for Tiers 1-4 (Windows, Windows Server, and VMWare).
• Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources
• Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery.
• Create and maintain environment specific standard operating processes and procedures
• Create, manage, and maintain accounts and group membership in Active Directory
