GCyber is hiring an AWS Cloud Engineer, to support our government customer. This person should have experience with infrastructure as code environments, automating patches and system configurations, and with designing and engineering commercial cloud environments, architectures, and designs.

As the AWS Cloud Engineer, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, GitLab, Docker, and Amazon C2S services including EC2, RDS, Lambda, ELB, and S3.
- Configure, manage, and optimize core AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, KMS, and Config to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available environments.
- Automate deployments, operational processes, and infrastructure management using Python, Bash, and PowerShell to improve efficiency, reliability, and system performance.
- Support cloud operations through monitoring, incident response, patching, vulnerability management, compliance tracking, and continual service improvement across classified and unclassified environments.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, testing procedures, and operational runbooks while supporting Agile development processes, release management, and integration/testing activities for production readiness.
- An active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance, with the ability to maintain a CI Poly
- BA/BS and 8-12 years of experience in Information Technology
- IAT II Certification (i.e., Security+, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)
- Experience with AWS or other cloud services reinforced with architectural design experience.
- 4 years of extensive experience in AWS Cloud Technologies and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
- 4 years’ experience in implementing Amazon C2S enabled architectures and tools to include Ansible, Cloud Formations, Terraform, JMETER, EC@, ELB, RDS, Lambda, Docker, GIT, and S3.
- 4 years’ experience in building end-to-end solutions on AWS leveraging Object Oriented Programing (OOP).
- Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management (i.e., CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab, Bitbucket)
- Prior experience with DISA and DISA’s support to mission partners preferred.
