GCyber is seeking a Cloud and Virtualization Engineer, to support a high profile DISA customer in their mission to improve collaboration and information sharing between defense and intelligence organizations. As the Cloud and Virtualization Engineer you will serve as a critical member of the Network Operations Center Team ensuring the reliability and performance of the SWS services and virtualization environment.

As the Cloud and Virtualization Administrator, you will:
- Develop and implement VMware ESXi infrastructure, maintaining expert knowledge of ESXi hosts, clusters, and vSAN.
- Provide Tier 3 support to virtualization administrators and ensure hardware and software components meet vendor-supported levels.
- Support mission-critical Continuity of Operations (COOP) and contribute to After Action Reports (AARs).
- Evaluate DISA CESO technologies and processes to identify gaps, propose strategies for future cybersecurity operations, and ensure compliance with DOD STIGs, DISA orders, and JSIG policies.
- Provide expert guidance on VMware cluster management and actively participate in DISA CESO and mission partner working groups.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a CI poly.
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience, additional years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
- DoD 8570 IAT II Certification or higher (i.e., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)
- 10 years of hands-on engineering and testing experience in virtualized on-premise and cloud environments.
- 6+ years of hands-on VMware experience in both engineering, operations, and maintenance roles.
- Strong knowledge of VMware concepts and best practices.
- VCP-VMware Certification desired
- Prior experience with DISA and DISA’s support to mission partners, preferred.
